A couple of words about myself…

My name is Simone and I live in north Italy. I have always had one passion…SUPERCARS. The first supercar I have seen is probably a blue Bugatti EB110, a very fabulous car! My passion for the supercars increased with the years and became stronger with my first voyage in the city of supercars: Montecarlo!
I remember that in Montecarlo I made my first photo to a supercar: I photographed a green Aston Martin Vanquish and with this photo born in me the passion of automotive photography! Now I have thousand and thousand of supercars's photos and, when I have the possibility, I go always to manifestations of supercars in Italy and in neighboring countries (Montecarlo, of course, including! :-D)

The day to remember…
When I went on a Pagani Zonda F Clubsport in the 2006 summer

My equipment…

For static photos I have a Canon 40D with a Tokina 11-16 F/2.8 Aspherical + B+W Kaesemann circular polarizer + the external flash Speedlite Canon 430EX. For shows indoor I have also a Manfrotto 055XPROB tripod + Manfrotto 486RC2 ball head.

For action photos and for all cases in which is necessary a telephoto I have a Canon 7D with the 70-200 f/4L IS USM, one of the best Canon telezoom, + Hoya circular polarizer.

I've also a Tamron 60 F2 Macro and a Canon 18-55 IS

My work place…

In digital photography for to have good photos are essential not only the photographic equipment, but other tools are necessary.

First of all a monitor with faithful colors that not changes color profile in the time.

For this reason I use a Samsung 24" 244T with S-PVA panel and the Spyder3Pro, a colorimeter professional by Datacolor.

I also purchased, choosing every single piece, a powerful computer to run quickly the RAW workflow.

Also I've a compact digital camera, the Panasonic TZ1, that I've used for the photos in 4:3 format that there are into my website.

The website…

With time Caldicarphoto has changed graphic and the resolution of photos. It has begun with 1600x1200 pixel, next 1800x1200 pixel, then 3000x2000 pixel, after that every updating has become a reportage with a text and a little number of higly selected photos.
The resolution of photos, with this new restructuring of the website, was not the most important thing, but the goal had become to give a complete vision of the events that, only a text with the addition of a photos gallery, could give. For this reason photos were still in high resolution, but they had a width of only 900x600 pixel, because i thought that this resolution was sufficently large to give you the 100% of the emotions that a photo could give.
Finally, now, the website has a simple structure, user friendly, with a gallery of photos in a wide resolution of more of 1200 pixel! Every photos can be saved on your pc without problems that are common if I would use a flash gallery! ;)

As you can see the website is changed in these years, but the goal to share my photographies with a large public of supercars's fans is not changed!


However best photos there are also in a bigger resolution in the "Wallpaper" section.
